GARAGE is an exhibition space of the Thomas Schütte Stiftung, located in an inner-city courtyard in Düsseldorf. Thomas Schütte has converted the premises of a former large garage, 750 square metres in floor area, with a few striking interventions: elements from Anna Viebrock’s stage sets were built in on the newly cast asphalt floor – recycled walls and parquet floors from her exhibition at the Skulpturenhalle.

For his off-space GARAGE, Thomas Schütte invites fellow artists whose work he values and which holds its own against the particular character of this place. The new rooms opened in December 2025; two to three exhibitions a year are planned.
